Early dinner with good friend and his wife sunday. Phone call this morning shocked me

Yeah, one of my best friends that I hung out with regularly apparently had a heart attack after leaving the sports bar yesterday afternoon. Last thing he told me was he wanted to get home before the 4 O'clock game and settle in to watch the Cowboys game later. :willy:

Total shock to all of my group of friends. :(

Man that's rough, I've actually tried to take more care about how I treat people online and personally anymore...one person I had a "back and forth" with on the CF died in his C2 Corvette the next day. You just never know.

Sorry you lost your friend, OP. Always a sad time.

I'm getting to the age (76 today, actually!) when it's happening more & more. Most recently, an old friend of mine from childhood was visiting with another mutual friend a few weeks ago, stood up to get something from another room, said "I don't feel too good", & dropped dead on the floor. Good way to go for him, terrible for family & friends.

I guarantee you never knew him. He wasn't a car guy.

Talked to his widow this evening. Of course she is not O.K. but doing the best she can. Everything is taken care of for her, for now, and it looks like the funeral is going on Friday.
