So I've had mixed luck in the past using either treatments you dab on or the tablets.
Noki was extremely sensitive to any chemicals so spraying yard/granules was only thing I could do. I tried 2 different brands of topical and almost instantly gave him the runs which only let up when I scrubbed him twice.
Previous Husky had some skin allergies and topical stuff didn't always agree with him. Other husky it never worked on for ticks, fleas decent. Other huskies most worked very well.
Lots of wildlife in area I'm sure is bringing the ticks and fleas in(and the feral cats which I'm working on again).
Anyway Bear got some fleas on him even with 2 baths so far. Noki always had a few on him and they've been getting worse the last couple of years.
I don't see me being able to spray to remove from the property since 2.5 acres so looking for a non harsh possibly all natural for Bear. I don't do collars and Bear eats every damn thing so no way it works anyways.
So lots of folks with dogs here what do you use/recommend.
Bear says thanks

Hi Bear! You are so cute! Fletch takes simparico trio. It upset his stomach a little so vet said to give half a dose in the morning and the other half at night, once a month. We can’t spray our acreage either. It’s been years since he’s had a flea or tick. He’s always heart worm and internal parasite negative at his yearly physical.
It’s expensive.

How old is Bear?

Being a young one, what can he take drug wise?

What does your vet recommend? Start with that.

Beat me to it :D

I've read up on this a bit because they make a food grade for use in gardens. It's non-toxic to humans/animals excepting inhalation (it's a powder). Reason it works is due to the extremely small particle size. Supposed to plug the holes insects use to absorb air and water. They suffocate and dehydrate to death.

Another vote for Bravecto. We give it to our dog in pill/chew form. It works great.

Stay away from Hartz products.

I had forgotten about Diatomaceous useage on animals. We used it to control pests in coops long ago.
I have put the non food grade down around the exterior of the house.
Probably still have some can throw in his run around area.

I believe you need food grade for fleas.
