and not the suga boom boom one
This was all over facebook this w/e. I'm not too far from there (never actually been on it though). I had to steal these pics from someone else on FB. Below is a copy of his post
"Sometimes a moment changes you. I saw not 1 Ferrari 250 GTO but 10!!! Only 56 left in the world and 10 were here! I inked not gonna lie!"
Someone said the total would be near $500,000,000 for all of them. No. 22 belongs to Nick Mason of Floyd fame. Some wondered, if he shipped the car here? Or what was going on for 10 of these cars to be there???
Do they make reproductions? Are they the real thing?

I doubt that's 1/2 billion in cars but yeah, a bunch of pesos there....
A friend followed a multimillion dollar antique Ferrari from an Ameilia Island car show for about 30 minutes headint to Orlando, cruising down the internstate like a regular commute. He couldn't believe it, you can't hide money...
I probably would have "inked" too. :yesnod:

The cars that come here every year for the Amelia Island Concours are beyond amazing. Lots of them drive around like it's no big deal.
Quite impressive, although seeing how people ride/drive on the Dragon, I'd be hard pressed to risk such an expensive ride on it. Blood Mtn, maybe.

Very nice, but it will take at least 3 to buy this one:

I passed two of them on the Foothill Parkway Friday on my way to the dragon.
however, a court has ruled that because Ferrari isn't actively producing cars shaped like the 250 GTO, it has to play nice and let other companies use its body shape—in other words, the kit cars are coming.

Not a bad return on investment on an item that sold for 14k new. :seasix:
I have seen these cars race at the Monterey Historics. The guys that own them have so much wealth that if something happens, it's no big deal and the cars get fixed.
30 years ago, I did see a 50-somthing dentist cry when he stacked his aluminum bodied '40's Alpha Romeo into the wall at the bottom of the Corkscrew. I would have cried, too. The whole front clip was crushed like an egg.

Right about where that #20 car is is where I married my bride in June of '21. Had a bunch of friends on bikes attend and some family. We are there every summer and love to stop at Tapoco Resort so we decided to do a somewhat informal ceremony and meal there. Then we rode the dragon.

I want another street bike. It's been years. I have several old vintage dirt bikes, but want something for the road.

Preston Henn was a great man.
He raced and sponsored many teams, his car collection contains many great cars, https://www.carthrottle.com/post/VAO7Gq/ .
Maybe his greatest accomplishment was the founder of the swap shops, he was the first drive-in movie owner to figure out the dual-revenue potential, all who followed were copycats.
