They do influence what happens in other states but not enough to be a concern IMO. Political insanity is contagious but isn't close to being an issue for me. As a free man I govern myself according to the constitution. I'm not subject to some self-anointed royalty. Nope, what motivates me to point out the detractions in your state is a desire to stick up for my fellow citizens and maybe help them to begin helping themselves... Regardless of state affiliation.

No dictators or communists allowed. It might be your state but the country belongs to all of us. If Californians ever decided to fight back instead of just bending over and taking it up the ass they'll have millions of allies from across the nation supporting them. Not that they'd need it :D
