My understanding is that the IA's volunteer for this activity. Some have been smart enough to request that they be dropped short of NYC because they already know about the crime in the city.

There's no doubt that there's a political motivation/slant associated with the transports. However, I'm pretty sure as an IA, I would much prefer the opportunities provided in an area that has laws to protect my interests. Sanctuary cities promise exactly that; services and support regardless of citizenship, with no questions asked.

I've been to Del Rio, Brownsville, McAllen, etc. There is no opportunity or promise of support like there is in larger cities.

Sadly, I have become innured and de-sensitized to the plight of many at my advanced age and with the current plague of stupidity; I wish there were vaccines and quarantines for that malady. People, icluding a majority of males in their 20s and 30s, decently dressed, with good footware, well fed, with no skills and most not speaking English, seeking asylym because they are so persecutied is a joke They know they can step across the border and load up on freebies and the asylum courts are 54 months behind, 54 months !

So, now, under Biden they can park their butts in the US for nearly a 1/2 decade wiating on thier case and then appeal if needed. If you can "hang out" for 5-7 years in a country without doing anything towards citizenship you are "here" basically. Even discounting cartels and traffickers, many of these people will take unskilled jobs and are paid in cash and never file a tax return. Ask any ER room nurse about "self pay" - I did. Illeglas will show up for care, sign up as self pay and after treatment are never seen again. They are working the system....period. When I went to the Social security office in central Florida to apply for benefits after a lifetime of work, I was shocked that out of the 70 or so people in the waiting area, fully 40% were young Latinos that barely spoke English if at all, many with 1 or 2 kids running around. What were they doing there, certainly not applying for pensions ?
