We have people dialing 911 because they didn't get enough fries in their Happy Meal - so - no big surprise here...

Yeah, lying to the cops is always a sound strategy.
If my car is ever stolen, I do not want it back. The punks that stole it will have trashed it and it will never be the same. :nono:

Its sorta interesting, but a good friend had a Silverado stolen and some things you (and theives) might not think about. The cops were able to pull up info from Florida toll and Sunpass stations along with some GPS data and basically track the vehicle to an apartment complex where it was recovered.

:iagree:
A guy I knew, who was a cop, had his Grand National, that wasn't even a year old, stolen. He got it back, and showed me pictures. They stripped all the easy to sell parts, and trashed what was left (mostly the interior). He didn't want it back, and I didn't blame him.
IMO, once it's gone, it's time for the insurance company to pay me for it. If they get it back, it's theirs, and they can do with it whatever they want, I don't care. This includes my classic Corvette.

Apparently. The federal LEOs do it all the time and nothing happens to them.

It was a pos Jeep (not all of them, that one). Should be kinda glad it’s gone, but it’s not & he’s in trouble.
