View Full Version : Major Hailstorm DFW :willy:
Major Hail overnight - At least golf ball size. :willy:
3 cars in the driveway and all of them damaged to some extent. 2 windshields with major cracks, and 1 sunroof completely destroyed. Waiting for full daylight to assess the roof, but experience says that will need to be replaced as well.
Vettes and Celica were in the garage and escaped unscathed. On the phone with insurance now. :needcoffee:

That sucks. High deductibles on all three?

Dang man. Sorry to hear. Hope everything gets worked out. Stay safe down there. :sadangel:

$100 on the cars and $250 on the house. I pay more for the low deductible, but overall it's been worth it. YMMV

Wow...all the cars were in the garage except the truck. Steven didn't come in screaming that "his" truck was damaged so I assumed there wasn't any. We got hail too but I don't recall seeing any that big.

Went north of us I guess. If we got any it was pea to dime size. Hope the insurance fairy does you alright.

I've already taken the 4runner into the shop, as it had the worst of the damage. I don't have a dollar estimate yet but they said it'd be 2-3 weeks.
Probably totaled 2 of the 3 cars. :sadangel:

We sent Sam back to Lubbock in a rental and should find out about the Scion tomorrow. I'll take the Highlander in at the end of the week. So, what does VBOT think about metal roofs? :waiting:
Oh well, it's not a problem - it's an opportunity, right? The joys of North Texas springtime!!!

That sucks dude but don't worry it's just the internet and media that makes it seem so bad.

Wow! Michelle told me that she saw yall at the dealer. Hopefully the insurance pays quickly and satisfactorily. That's just awful.
