I think the shooter was in the SUV with the guy that was called in to do the job. Could be one dog died and it's going to be buried.

Right before he got out of the car and opened the trunk, they showed two dogs in the back seat. They also showed the dog laying on the sidewalk when he walked outside to stop Zoyie from leaving. The shooter was in the back seat of the Nissan when they were looking at the cops thru the side view mirror.
