View Full Version : Thought I'd Change It Up A Bit With Corvette Pictures
You guys remember Corvettes, right?
You'd never know here, so had some me time today, a bit of detailing for a show tomorrow. Hope you like.
So those that still have Corvettes, post them up.:seasix:

Thanks Norm.. A bit too much BS around here lately.
So how do you think the ride compares between your vettes?

In negotiations with a guy on a '76 Stingray with original Brown paint. 20 footer.
Paint looks like it's 50 years old or older and sat outside forever, nothing close to yours. Can even see the bonding strip on the rear fenders.
We're about $5K apart.

I'm extremely glad I pulled the trigger on the C8 Z51, with the plan of replacing it with the C8 Z06. I've learned all of the weak points with the paint, and have a much better idea how to preserve the Z06. Those rear haunches are fragile from a paint perspective.
Again, I will "play" with the C8 Z06, but I won't compete in it. I'll have to consider a 4th car to join the 3 Z06's in that I can feel comfortable competing in, but not being slow. I hate slow cars. I want my hair to be on fire behind the wheel. C8 Z06 is a forever car.

Thank you. You should see the "before" pics when I paid $450.00 for it and dragged it home... they are still held hostage on Photo****it. I did the entire build myself, I even shot the paint under that canopy.

The '75 rode like an old truck, this '81 rides nice, smooth, doesn't bounce around, brakes and tracks straight, pretty happy with it.
Now the '16 Z, what can I say, the shit eatin' grin gives it away..........:D

Very similar to a '76 I had back in the 90s.
Needs paint, exhaust, interior, steering and suspension work. Well over it's worth, hence the difference in price I'm willing to pay. But, I got the time.
We'll see.

From those pics, doesn't look that bad. Split the difference in asking price.

Just asked wife about my old pix stack ....we have no clue at this point, but I did find a small stack of my '72 here in various stages of ownership.....before the move to Florida and when the shark was painted on the hood, and then when green which are here on the pix I think
wish I could find my '60 vette pix in Folks driveway......long about '66-67, and then, the '87 .....no clue were they are or maybe even exist anymore...probably toss in trash.....:confused5:

2007 Z51 2LT 6 speed. Traded in my '04 convertible for it in '07. Just rolled over 100k miles this year so it's seen its share of the country.
Photos are from a few years back. Separate trips I think.

The only pic I have of it on this computer, but I still own it. #30 0f the 2025 built.
Some basic bolt ons to the motor and a tune puts about 450-460 at the crank, so the dyno guy says.
