So I'm wrapping up my current project tomorrow and get the next 3 weeks off, and decided to fly myself and my wife to Vegas to visit my mother. I always fly first class, and usually pay $900-1200 round trip.
Cash prices are now $3,000 round trip per person. Luckily, I had enough miles to fly myself 1st class + $11, and then paid cash for the wife, so divide by 2, $1500/person not too bad, but holy shit, I may do well, but I wasn't paying $6,000 to fly to Vegas. :willy:

Only if GWiz grants it to you. She is going to inherit a **** ton of high end Corvettes when I die. Based on the number of years that I'm likely going to work, and the strategy of Corvette purchases that I have, she'll likely end up with 6-7, quite likely with a value over $1mil collectively.

Wow, just checked Delta’s site and Jax to LAS two weeks from now is running $2800 or so! Moving out to June brings it down to about $2300 with some undesirable flights/connections coming in at $1700. That’s freaking crazy

We are flying Jax-Clt-Mad-Lys in June. Domestic First, international Business class for not much more than what those tickets to LAS would cost you. We did purchase them a couple of months ago

Wife and I just flew Orlando-Denver to meet our new grandbaby. Southwest tickets non-stop was around $1200, but then I found if I took a 1 stop flight (no changing of planes) it was right at $800 round trip. Gave a nice 45 minute break for standing/stretching/flirting with the flight attendents, etc.

I remember flying years ago having a discussion about who had the best looking stewardesses. We were on a JAL flight, their young ladies were definitely attractive. I argued that British Air had the best, a Sikh dude was telling us that the Indian airlines had the best, and another guy, who was European, thought one of the European airlines (can't recall which one now) was the best. We all agreed that none of the American airlines even qualified for the list, with all the gays, oldsters, and fatties they have.

Now that you say that, I'm wondering if my daughter is Jewish. She's as frugal as hell, can squeeze blood from a nickle. Nice trait to have with high earning power.

My Uncle ( married my Dad's sister) is known to be so tight , it's said he has buffalo shit on his fingers from squeezing nickles too tight.

Have a great time in Vegas. :hurray:
There is more demand for first class than in a while. One must either book well in advance or about 4 days out to get close to "normal" pricing.
As a free breather, I'm not eligible to fly until Uncle Joe lifts the muzzle mandate to fly. Meanwhile, Joe's flooding our border with diseased illegals, no issues there.

Not much encouragement for my trip to LAX in Sept. It looks like I may have to settle on business class. God, I hate flying. First class was the only way to make it halfway bearable.
