She got one when she was 18 and regrets it.
I have no desire for her to be an ex wife, so there will be no picture.

Tattoos - more often than not rocked by people who were voted most likely in their HS yearbook to end up persecuted by meth mites in a disheveled trailer.

I have no tattoos and my wife has none. I don't like tattoos on a girl. :cert:

Kathy was very close to her dad, who was Irish. After he passed away she got this, it’s an Irish love knot. No other tattoos on either of us.

Former coworker's wife got a phrase in a big tattoo on her back when her mom passed away.
Me, being a dick with a no filter, pointed out that it had a spelling/grammar error.

He said she claims she did it on purpose, because the spacing looked better.
Uh...no.

Probably should have bit my tongue on that one.

What I find funny about tattoo is once it was a stigma, you had to be a sailor or a biker back in the day and it was somewhat expectable. Now every Tom, Dick and Harriet gets tats "just to be different" when in fact tattoo are so common now you are just going with the crowd. The person who DOSEN'T get or have a tattoo are the one's being different.
Tattoo, IMO make you look stupid.

I wish I could find it but I had a cartoon with two old men sitting in rockers all tatted and pierced up and one says to the other:

"What the hell were we thinking".

Exactly.....................

I don't mind them when they're done well. Had a girl at the gym years back that had a kind of mandala band just below her butt and around her thigh. Very sexy. :yesnod:

Last GF had a couple of smaller tats. Nice girl, I was mildly shocked to discover the tats but it wasn't a deal breaker.

Getting out of the USN with no tattoo, still a non smoker, and not in AA was probably my greatest feat in life.

Ummmm........Not hardly.

I'm sleeved on both arms, absolutely NO regrets. Wife has no ink.
But I did wait until I was 45 before getting any ink, and most do a passable job of covering small scars. I've talked more people out of getting tattoos, than in to getting one, especially young people that are considering getting their "Love of their Life's" name put on their body. Usually all I gotta do is mention that it does hurt, and you do bleed, and things CAN go wrong.

YMMV

I have a half sleeve on my right arm and am finishing the left. No regerts here, but I do talk others out of getting stuff that I and they know will be a future regert.

When you're young and (possibly) behind more alcohol than you should be, the word "irreversible" isn't the first thing that pops out of one's vocabulary.

If it was done tastefully and she didn't look like an underpass of an L.A. freeway, it probably wouldn't stop me from dating...more on a case by case basis. But generally speaking I don't care for them at all.
