I just finished onboarding at my new company. All the compliance training wanted to make me hurl at the monitors.

"If Bob asked Rick out on a date and he refused, would it affect his chance for promotion?" or "People of whatever gender they identify with can use those restrooms without fear of harassment." The worst was when I read that you don't need proof or a witness to claim and/or sue for sexual harassment. There are even rules as to how you can "look" at someone because certain "looks" or facial expressions have now been deemed "hostile". I never get involved with any company I work for and click the answers that "they want to hear" just to get through the nonsense, but what an absolute load of shit.

I'm really hoping that a regime change is coming in 2024, because this country is seriously ****ed.

I wouldn’t enlist in today’s the military. The only classes I remember, other than tech training, was safe driving and maintaining good hygiene.

For the uninitiated, ponder this:

On very large construction projects (multiple hundreds of millions) there are always a variety of trades, equipment suppliers, project management, etc. With the shortage of labor experienced in the trades, the old hierarchy has changed dramatically. It used to be that older talent (think carpenter foreman for 30 years) used to become the project manager and other positions such as that. You would have excellent management of the trades from guys who knew their shit inside out, upside down and backwords. Now, they might have one project guy and a bunch of recent college grads running around.

These recent college grads have no clue about job safety, progression or coordination of trades, and the general work enviroment, where trades guys worked alongside each other for years on various projects and know names and/or faces from over the years. They tend to be very good at their craft, but also like to bust chops as men do.

With the introduction of females into these workspaces about 12-15 years ago, the whole mindset changed. Things you can no longer do:
1) no animosity between the trades (ballbusting)
2) no cursing
3) its a violation to look at any female for more than three seconds, which is punishable by removal from the jobsite.
4) music while working since it may offend someone.
5) T shirts with writing on them which "could be" offensive to anyone.
6) T shirts with any logo unless it is the company which you are employed by at that time.

So glad I took retirement from my construction union (Pipefitter/welder) many years ago. For a fact a lot has changed on the job and like normal today, not for the best!

A pipefitter foreman I am friends with got removed from a hospital project by police. His "crime", not moving his company truck fast enough for a 22 year old female project assitant who wanted to go to lunch. Why? well, they were in the middle of rigging a piece of 40 inch fabrication into the chiller plant. He told her it was unlocked and the keys were in it, and to move it herself because he couldnt walk away from the very heavy fabrication at the time. :Jeff '79:

The college i work for now has a coordinator for Diversity and LGBTQSDFHDKDSK whatever. She works at my campus once a week. Very woke and a big heffalump version of Cumdawg. I skip every bit of the online training and seminars she hosts and it pisses her off. Hell, All of the staff skips it and she is trying to get the board of directors to make her training sessions mandatory. When the board opens discussions to the public, a bunch of us have a lot to say about it.

My last company (Cali based and super woke) sent out an invite to a training on my "implicit bias" and required 100% attendance. I called my manager and told him there was ****ing way I was attending and they could stuff their 100% requirement. He laughed and said no biggie, he wasn't attending either and their 100% thing was a desire, they do not expect it.

I worked with raving liberal women who had to take two weeks off for emotional stress. Who had to take over management of her systems while she was recovering? Yours truly. She complained to management when our office was streaming Trump's inauguration. We had to shut it down even though all she had to do was close her office door. I couldn't hear it in my office next to hers with the door open. This was my first experience with someone self inflected with TDS.

I'm so done with all the BS about the Diversity, Gender Equality, Kindler Gentler, and other political BS brought to companies. One of our company goals for our compensation pay is the percentage of females in a certain job band and above. Don't really care if the men or women are really qualified for those positions but they are there.
I'm just hoping things go like they look they will and I can walk away with a nice package and move on.
I'm sick of hearing LGBQ shit and having it shoved down our throats every week. Let's push the women's network to everyone and you get looked down on as a man if you don't attend a meeting or two a year.
I'd say start a small business but a straight heterosexual man wouldn't stand a chance of getting the funding or clients.

I am sooo glad I retired early in 2017. When I hear some of the crap my former employer ( not publicly traded and one of the largest 100% ESOPs in the country) has been implementing it makes me sick.
