Probably a bit strange but I don’t care much for anything sweet. Candy, chocolate, ice cream, whatever. Once in a while I’ll get a craving for an M&M Blizzard but that’s about it.

We offered them on our truck but the oreo ones were the big seller!

I don’t like to drink my dessert, so I preferred when they offered the Shamrock McFlurry along with the shakes. :yum:

I’m lactose intolerant though, so the last time I had one was a few years ago. The Lactaid tablets are hit or miss for me, need to be close to home. :Jeff '79:

I worked at an ice cream parlor as a summer job growing up, we had an Oreo/York peppermint patty ‘polar storm’ (aka blizzard/McFlurry/etc) that sold very well…could probably blend them down into a shake (or use mint syrup like McD’s does).

Serving the Little League teams sucked :ack: but I enjoyed working on/decorating the ice cream cakes (was the only one there with any artistic abilities).

I like salted caramel fudge, and always thought it would make a good milkshake. I have never seen that flavor offered as a shake or ice cream though.

I make a killer vanilla milkshake that my kids go crazy for, even though they are in their mid-20s now! Actually, it's not really a milkshake, since I use half & half instead of milk. A good vanilla ice cream and some vanilla extract, and blend away. I really like it too, but I have to keep it down to just a few times a year due to my near-diabetic state. :(

I'll have to give that a try, depending on the cups. We did have clear plastic cups, so the visual would work. Would be a pain to make though. Wait, did I just hear "upcharge"? :D

Pie milkshakes. I had one at Shari’s in Seattle. :funny:

I had a chocolate shake with peanut butter pie blended in. 😳 Caitlin had vanilla shake with coconut cream, I think. They serve them with boba straws. After having about ¼ of our shakes, we had to take them to go. :willy:

It’s probably not something you would offer all the time, but if you did some special events? Might be something that sets you apart from other trucks. A little gimmicky, but possibly fun? :)

I have no idea if y'all can even do this, but one of the best shakes I ever had was a date shake in Indio, CA during the date festival. It was vanilla with some sort of ground up dates and date syrup. It's kind of a nutty sweet flavor. You could start a new tradition where you are because I'm pretty sure nobody is onto this back there.

According to the American Heritage College Dictionary, a milkshake is a “a beverage that is made of milk, ice cream, and often flavoring and is blended or whipped until foamy.” Unless you live in New England, where a milkshake would never include ice cream. Adding ice cream makes it a “frappe” drink.
