Nope, not going to bother. Baldwins are like Bushs and Clintons, they should all be taken out and shot.
In a good and friendly way, of course
Would love to see him end up in prison.

i could have done without that 30 second ad about the kungflu and masks, but this is a liberal rag you linked too so I'm not surprised that bullshit is still being spread.
He pulled the trigger. Period. No other way for a single action Colt Army to fire. Gunslingers in the day sometimes actually tied the trigger back with rawhide or wire in order to 'fan' the gun to get off rounds faster, but that trigger had to be all the way back, off of the locking sear. What Baldwin is saying is a Bald Face Lie.

His supporters probably know so little about firearms (i.e., anti-gun) that they actually believe his story. :funny:

Watt IS his story, other than he screwed up, forgot to check the gun for ammo installed......witch is a BAD movie practice/habit to get into....

His story is that he did NOT pull the trigger. He partially cocked the gun, and when he let the hammer down, the gun went off by itself. Not possible with a Colt SSA or similar type revolver. Trigger must be pulled to release the locking sear on the hammer. What he is saying is basically that a car with hood pins had the hood open by itself with the pins engaged and locked. Need to unlock and remove clips to open hood. Baldwin is using the classic liberal dodge of blaming the thing instead of taking responsibility for his own actions....clearly showing his absolute lack of character.

Here's the real deal here... ANYBODY who had anything to do with that scene from checking the guns and ammunition onto the set, to whoever checked the weapon and ammo before loading the gun, to the loader, to the assistant who handed the loaded weapon to the actor, to the actor himself are responsible for checking to see if the thing is "safe" before accepting it for the next hand off, or for use in any scene.
EVERYBODY on that set who had anything at all to do with the inventory, preparation, delivery or operation of that firearm is guilty of contributing to a wrongful death. I couldn't care less whether Baldwin pulled the trigger, or if the thing went off half cocked... there was so much stupidity on that set that day I hope they all go to prison for it.

Let’s try some common sense,
“NO REAL firearms should or will be used during any filming, period.”
This will not bring back the lost life but come on now…..

I'm sure his lawyers researched well to come up with his story.
What can that particular firearm do without getting the hammer back to the middle position?
Also, it makes no difference to me whether he pulled the trigger, or not. I'm quite sure I wouldn't be pulling the hammer, either.

The Colt SAA cannot fire with the hammer pulled back to the middle position or any position UNLESS THE TRIGGER IS PULLED. Period. You can pull the hammer back and flick it with your thumb, it won't fire. You can cock the gun and throw it into the wall. It won't fire. It will ONLY fire if it is cocked fully and the trigger is PULLED.

The animation illustrates pulling the hammer back and letting it go with the trigger already pulled. Is that possible?
Yes. With the trigger already pulled, the locking sear is released and the hammer will fall. But the trigger must be pulled. As I stated earlier (maybe on this thread) gunfighters sometimes wired or tied the trigger to the back of the trigger guard so they could 'fan' the hammer of the gun for fast shooting. Quick draw guys even today have the trigger pulled when the gun is still holstered, and when it clears leather and is pointed at the target, they palm the hammer and let it fall, getting of a very fast shot. Not accurate, usually, but great for theatrics.

GTOguy Couldn’t that gun been altered in its lifetime? Probably been through a half dozen Armorers before the movie

Sure. But if somebody had taken it apart and removed the locking sear from the hammer or the locking pawl in the frame, the hammer would never stay in any rearward position. So for the gun to go off in this case, Baldwin would of had to pull the hammer all the way back and let it fall on the cartridge. Easy to see that this is not the case here, as the gun apparently has been photographed with the hammer back without being held there by his hand. :seasix:
