IN FACT, I pulled the intake and gooped up the gaskets to ensure sealing...and then fired the engine up, timing is way the hell off, BUT it would catch a bit and run rather smoother no dead assed miss sound.....so I will see later this week...

I hate to point out the obvious, but if the timing is off, I would focus attention on timing related components. :D

Gene, why don't you just by a CHICOM distributor on eBay, they aren't expensive. I had one that I sent to someone here a few years ago...

Dizzy is fine, many new/newer parts, no vacuum advance, or weights, computer injection/timing/etc.....

It ran yesterday, rather smoothly too, but would quit like the fuel was gone....

Then check your pump. They do go bad from time to time. Just had to replace one in my dad's POS Ceefer (I hate that car more than CF PR&C mods) and that fixed a lot of issues. I'm pretty sure a well placed lit match would fix the rest of them.

Well, this pump been in the car about 3 years, the first one lasted some 15 years or better.....BUT like everything else.....AS I RECALL this one was MIC....so hoo knows, but too mutch with the co winkey dink crap....grrrrrrrr.......:issues:
