The child has a piston-like shape to his cranium representing the #4 piston in your vehicle.

The child is also breaking through a plate glass window which would be representative of the engine block in your Franenvette.

Dj's father built the short block, and one of the heads......

I did assemble the oil pump/pan/other minor items....

Oil pressure is 50 lbs and drops to ~30 when hot at speed....20 at hot idle....

I am hoping I made some progress on that misfire ......too damn cold to be out there today....:sadangel: winter sux, even in Floriduh.....

the block and internals are good. Kinda hard to **** those up on a SBC.

Did you install the heads yourself?

Yes, but one of them was NOT MINE....same part number/etc but this one is welded on to fix one of the combustion chambers.....the CRatio looks good, but a couple daze ago, I found a shakey connection to the fuel pump....since the pipes are so loud, I can't hear the pump with engine running.....the pressure meter fluttered 2-5 lbs too, at idle....weather or not I going out there and fire it up in the garage, let it idle till warm....and keep an ear/eye open on it....and the tree cutters in neighbor's yard, and the cats and the mail....etc.....

:dance::rofl:

Back last ~15th of June the car ran rough as hell but I put it off due to a planned vacation near end of June....came back and fired it up, and very soon it went into hydro lock.....pulled the plugs and turned engine over, water outta the 2-4 stack of plugs, 1-7 plugs dry.....so pulled the head and looked it all over, short block seemed fine....so did all the gaskets....so pulled the pass side head, took to Oscar at OP cyl head, he looked it over and smoothed it out, and so I put it back on the car with new gaskets, obviously.....then went to fire it up, and rough as hell....pulled all the shit apart then....took both heads to your Dad's' place and got back one that was welded on, not mine even a different paint mark on the casting number.....took the short block to your Dad there, and he rebuilt it....picked it up and reassembled the engine.....he put a new timing chain in it....starts fine, timing SEEMS ok, but a most definate miss in one cylinder/maybe more??? it's just not happy.....at this point, I give up......I have doubts it will make it to your Dad's place , it's that rough.....at this point, I"m burnt out with it.....:sadangel::shots:

i don't think they did the heads in house because you wanted them pressure tested. Why didn't you bring up the mix up with the one head when you picked them up or before installing them?

I did not notice the mix up until I got it home, then took it to Oscar for a pressure test, he tested it and said all was fine....so not thinking anything of it, went and installed the heads /etc but for the last few weeks, it's mainly been setting.....I going to get neighbor to follow me over to your Dad's place trying for this week, going to call now....
