Need help with drywall repair, had an accident, now I have a "ME" shaped dent in the drywall

Only true was to fix that is locate the two adjacent studs, cut the existing drywall out and down the CENTER of the two studs, and splice in a nice new flat piece then tape/finish smooth out with drywall mud, and then repaint entire wall......:sadangel::issues:

The most valuable lesson I ever learned about drywall was to cut the hole to match the piece, not the piece to match the hole.

If you know the stud center, cut a piece that wide, cut it the right height. Place it over the hole stud to stud and trace around it. Cut the hole to the traced line.
