"Do you have any plans for Easter?"

I sent back "When's Easter? LOL"

Seriously, I have no idea when Easter is. It's not like I'm going to church or something. :D

My daddy doesn't even program numbers into his cellphone. I'm just glad he HAS a cellphone.

Then again, MarkC5 refuses to text, too. Must be common among old men. :leaving:

Yeah, I suspect she's fishing for a dinner invite. She likes my cooking. The feeling isn't that mutual though. Last two dinners over at her place has been vegetable soup and tuna casserole. :slap:

Both my parents have iPhones and text me all the time. Dad is 75, Mom is 71. I much prefer it to them calling me. I hate to have to actually talk on the phone. How 2005. :D

Oh, and I was right. She was fishing for a dinner invite.

Crap, that's this weekend isn't it.

Yeah, my Mom's all churchy and knows stuff like this. About the only religious holiday I know each year is that one in late December. :D

I wish I could get my daddy to text! He's hard of hearing which can make talking on the phone interesting for sure!

So did you invite Mom to dinner? :D

Of course. I'm going to make her a nice steak (she loves a big rare steak) and Hasselback potatoes, and my wife can make arugula salad. I'll make a loaf of bread too, that's always a good thing. Maybe I'll even make some ice cream for dessert.

Both my parents just upgraded to htc Evo's.
My mom can text, but all the abbreviations escape her.
My dad doesn't like to turn the cell phone on because it'll run down the battery and he might need to make a call.

From what I can tell, single guys in their late-60's and up can pretty much call the shots. However, at their age most of their shots are blanks, so there's that. :leaving:

My father is 63 and uses IM at work all day to communicate with business contacts around the world. As a side benefit he and I can chat all day long if we like. It was funny when he was learning internet shorthand at first... I would have to type it out or explain it to him i.e. BRB to TTYL ;)
