long story short:

About 10 days ago I caught that cold/flu bug going around. Since I'm immuno-suppressed... I went to the doctor. Even though I've had double Pfizer Covid shots, they still wanted to do a COVID test. It was negative, no surprise there. With an antibiotic prescribed, I was improving. But right when I thought I was finally over this bug, last Friday it came back BIG TIME.

Called the Dr, they suggested a home COVID test :( Did that, it was also negative.

Saturday I was miserable, went back to the doctors (hoping to get a different antibiotic). They performed a THIRD Covid test, the next day it came back positive. I called them saying I thought it was a false positive... and that I should be tested two more times.

Oh no, once you get a positive COVID test... all testing stops. It's like the medical community is eager for the positive test.

Since I was fully immunized for COVID, the quarantine is just for 5 days. I don't mind getting a week off work :) ... but I still don't think I have the Vid.

They are most definitely eager for it to be positive, as are many politicians and public health "experts." Without positive tests they can't keep spreading misinformation and panic among the sheep, and they'd have to return to their normal jobs, which terrifies them.

quite possibly my Dr's office may have their hands tied on this specific.

Unfortunately; this is true. :island14:

:iagree:

I often wonder how many mutliple pos tests are reported individually instead of being one result.
I give zero credibility to % of pos tests compared to anything else. More people being tested and tests may or may not be more accurate. No way in hell is a there anything resembling consistency between testing sites.

Without a good supply of toliet paper, you might come down with a severe case of Mudbutt-19.

I had every Omicron symptom aside from smell/taste loss. I have tested negative 6 times since then. The medical community is most likely composing a letter to me expressing their dissatisfaction and disappointment that I am not adequately contributing to the cause. :D

according to recent numbers on Drudge, the cooties have a 99.75% survival rate.

but the more + tests, the happier Dr. Death is telling you to wear 19 masks while swimming in your own pool....

It’s crazy, they don’t even try to hide what they’re doing. :spdchk:

I hope you get to feeling better soon.

I’m sick too at the moment. Not unusual for me from time to time but with the constant propaganda, every time I get the sniffles, I worry it might be something worse.

So I ordered some Ivermectin and plan on using 2ml every 48 hours for a week to see if it helps. Am I nuts? Sounds like it’s nearly impossible to OD on this stuff? Started using Zicam for colds a couple of years ago with good results but doesn’t seem to be helping this time around.

A mechanic at work who had the vid about 6 weeks ago. He went to Vanderbilt to get a knee replacement so he had to have a test, even though they knew he was positive 6 weeks ago. The hospital knew it was going to be a false positive. Our medical department at work saw the results, freaked out and put him on 10 days quarantine. I pointed out the fact you are essentially a negative for 3-4 months after having the vid. Our Health and Safety Manager wouldn't hear of it and sent the guy out for 10 days. What a bunch of IDIOTS.

Hope you start feeling better. Last week I got a cold and had the same symptoms as Omicron. Took over the counter medicine and now feel better. I don't want to be part of the left's propaganda. :cert:

One of the major reasons I don't care about number of cases.

I would ask for an antibody test to see whether you really had the ChiVi.

If you want a depressing sort of chuckle, search for news stories from 12 months back.

All of us naysayers tried to say that the numbers were up, because the volume of people getting tested is up. The MSM refused to acknowledge that entire concept.

Now I am seeing stories that are saying Omicron number are high, but it can be attributed to the increased numbers of tests being done and once you quarantine, there is no need to be retested and cloud the data.

this might explain things... my first two COVID tests only covered up to the Delta variant.

the third test was the latest and covered the Omicron variant. I'd still like to get two more tests for confirmation... but that's not gonna happen.

Tests shoukd have detected any variant although some pick up new one less it said. Otherwise hardly anyone woukd be testing pos now as no way they could manufacture specific tests i such a short amount of time.
Omicron was here for months and moths before they even knew about it, hard to look for something you don't know exists.

A PCR test detects all variants (so far). Variants are a mutation in the S gene. Tests target the N and E gene. :seasix: This may not be true at some point, but right now it is.
