Would you object to a Covid sniffing dog being escorted around your place of business, school, or a store?

What would the basis of the objection be?

Would you condone/support it?

choices are:

* no
* yes
* maybe
* pull finger
* in before Snide

and NO ! Sniffing dogs are good; but only about 65-70% accurate. A lot of false alerts and missed hits.

False positives are off the charts with detection dogs. But the dogs would be a non-issue in comparison to the people who would do such a thing. They're either brave or stupid.

How accurate is the dog? :popcorns:

So far one of the two has been 100%. We have a nearby clinic that can supply "hot" samples and the one dog has hit every single one without exception. We have also had a couple employees that came down with it and have used them. The dogs hit on them, their mask, their phones, and the chair they were sitting in. The second dog is easily distracted. When she is focused, she is accurate.

It's pretty amazing to watch. :yesnod:

100% if you are referring to your mask. I'd bet on the dog to get it 10 out of 10 times.

With a bad case of ham farts I'd probably kill that dog after Christmas dinner... :faint:

Guess it would depend if the doggo was to determine my entry into a building or something.

Knew someone who had a seizure dog.. Now that was pretty cool.

Depends on the scenario, boarding a long ass international flight or a cruise (I won’t be boarding a cruise ever again) and anybody flagged gets a second screening with plenty of time before departure? Sure. At a concert or sporting event or somewhere in public where I’ll get humiliated and no chance for redemption? Pass

Wow. I went the other way with the translation and had the epiphany that Gene is a drug dealer, shipping his coke in shipments of coffee. Well, it's one or the other, I guess.

I just took my dogs for a walk, and both of them provided hot samples. :yesnod: Nature's hand warmer.

NotSlo has a seizure dog. Doug, how is Logan? :bigears:

BTW, my Nukka is also a seizure dog. When the wife leaves food on the table, Nukka will seize it and eat it on my bed. :yesnod:

Logan is good, think we might have the seizures under control. Time will tell.

I have no objection to the dog per se, but I would be wary of what will be done with the information the dog provides. If the results stay private and are known only to me (and the dog) I see no problem with it.

Glad to hear. :angel:

We switched foods to Zignature, limited ingredient food for starters. Most dry dog foods have too much shit in them, including top brands. Acana and Orijens both contain rosemary extract which can cause seizures. Zignatures is a much better food.

Also, I have added another food as a topper, it's a freeze dried raw formula that is 84% organ meats and the rest natural items and vegetables . No preservatives or by products. VERY expensive but I am trying to turn this around and get him off meds. Also trying to avoid cancers down the road.

Interesting responses. What is the reason for not allowing it or for feeling like your privacy is invaded? Before I had Covid, after I got covid, and after I was over Covid, I didn't care who knew I had it. It's not an HIV dog or a Herpes dog. It's Covid. Many have had it. Just curious, not challenging your answers.

Probably because some Karen is gonna throw an absolute fit if dog hits on you in public. I'd say it'll get violent even.

I'd rather have the Covid sniffing dog over the swab that they forcibly shove up your nose into your brain.

The dog must have covid by now, does it hit on itself?

In spite of repeated exposure, they have not contracted Covid. It's almost like it isn't even true that it can happen, but we know the experts would never lie to us about Covid.
