PS3 or XBOX 360

I don't really play online and honestly it will be used sparingly.
Mostly first person shooter and driving games.
I have a BD player already but streaming media may come to play.

Love my PS3, online play is free and having Netflix and Hulu is cheaper than renting videos at other places. Can't speak for the 360.

How come you have both?
Is it just for different games, or did you buy one and not like it and buy the other?

I only have the XBOX 360, but it does everything I want/need. The Kinect is a seriously awesome addition and they just keep adding more features/uses to it. We just got Kinect Sports this week last week and are having fun with it.

I see no point in not going with the XBOX 360, even if you're not into online gaming (for which it has a MUCH better community)

Forza > Gran Turismo
Gears of War > God of War
Kinect > Move

etc., etc., etc.


EVERY generation since SNES and Genesis, I have bought all the consoles. Until now. XBOX 360 and a Wii, but no playstation 3. I have a Blu-Ray player, and I'm not paying $300 to play the PS3 exclusive game series like God of War or Metal Gear, which I have never played.

After I bought the original XBOX, I never touched my PS2 again. Decided not to waste cash on a PS3 this time. Was considering buying one this summer, but I've decided against it. No need really.

Maybe next gen Sony can win me back. We'll see.

Well I was in Future Shop(owned by Best Buy) when I get a text from one of friends in Toronto where I used to live.

We are texting back and forth while I am in line to buy the Xbox.
He asked what I was doing and I told him I was in line to pay for my purchase and he texts me back right away with this.

"Move away from the counter quickly. Run don't walk away if you haven't paid for the Xbox yet."

So I walked away and get another text in which he says he and 2 other of my buddies play Grand Tourismo and other games on PS3 online together for a few hours on Sundays when their kids are asleep.

I walked away with a PS3 that came with 2 games(Metal Gear Solid 4 & Uncharted 2: Among Thieves) and bought GT-5.

Love my PS3. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but do like some gaming. Blu-ray is great, and the streaming is nice as well.

and if you're looking for GT5 fun, theres a season running on the corvette forum. we play tuesday nights and have a f- around night most sundays.

I've had a 360 forever but just got a PS3 for the blu ray and to serve up movies through. I like em both so far but for different reasons. I think if I had to only have one it would be the PS3. I did get GT5 and a racing wheel which is friggin awesome and if I get decent enough at it I'm going to try the leauge over in CFOT cuz it sounds pretty fun.
