So I saw Fuzz in the backyard, and I called for her to come in since it was getting dark. Nope. Tried opening a can of wet food on the back patio, then brought it in the house. Maybe she'll come in for that. Nope. Check 5 minutes later and she's gone.
Fast forward.
Now it's dark, and I don't like her out when it's dark. Go out to see if she's still in the back yard, and I'll just bring her in. No cat. But wait! Caterwauling in my neighbor's back yard. Hmmm. There's a clue. So I peer over the fence, and sure enough, she's facing off with another, larger cat. I call her, she comes jumping on the fence and I bring her in. She's got an apparent scratch on her nose, although I don't see any blood.
This is why she has to be home before the street lights come on.....nothing good happens outside after dark.
I hope she learned her lesson.
