This month is our 25th wedding anniversary and my wife what's to go to Florida (she has never been there and it's been over 3 years since I was there). We will be flying into Tampa on 11/11 for 2 weeks. I would like to know from any members that live in the Tampa area recommendations for good seafood, steak, barbeque, Mexican, breakfast, Vietnamese restaurants. Also things to do there. Greatly appreciate any help.:cert:

I recomend getting a crab roll and beer for lunch. Brocatos is a tradition and has good reviews. I used to get crab rolls at a few places and they were all good.

I am assuming you are staying on the beach or near the beach, so I'll focus on the Pinellas county (Clearwater) side of Tampa Bay. To be honest, I don't cross the bay into Tampa very often. I have never lived on that side of the bay, and I stopped working over there over 15 years ago.
For great seafood/steaks I suggest Salt Rock Grill in Indian Shores. We lived across the street from the place for a year before moving inland, and it is still our go to place for birthdays and special celebrations.

If you want a more casual local feel, Keegan's is an awesome little place that will not disappoint.

BBQ tastes range so much person to person, but here are some of our faves. They vary greatly from hipster chic to good old no frills BBQ:
Prohibition Kitchen in Dunedin https://prohibitionkitchendunedin.com/
Smokin' J's in Gulfport http://smknjsbbq.com/
Urban BBQ

Our favorite Mexican place is a little hole in the wall that we lived close to for years and didn't even know about.

I am unable to recommend a Vietnamese restaurant. The only one I went to closed down during the pandemic, and it is not something we eat with any regularity.
Breakfast is easy. The Frog Pond on the beach, and Speggtacular has 2 locations. http://www.speggtacular.com/
As for to do's, you have everything at your disposal from deep sea fishing charters to sunset dolphin watch/booze cruises to jet ski and boat rentals. All of this and more can be found in Clearwater Beach or John's Pass about 20 minutes south of Clearwater. https://johnspass.com/
On the Tampa side is Busch Gardens/Adventure Island, The Riverwalk and Sparkman Wharf districts, and pretty much everything the Pinellas County side of the bay has to offer except the beaches.
edit: I forgot to add one of our favorite brunch spots!

The Columbia in Ybor City is the Great-Grandparent of all other places to eat there. Great food, decent prices. Better than any of the trendy joints.

Been to Ybor (pronounced EEEbor City) some years ago, lots of bars/restaurants, take the trolley, runs right through it. Stay safe.

Keep in mind that the Columbia does not do walk ins, so make a reservation if you want to go.

from their website:
What is the dress code at Bern's Steak House?
The appropriate attire at Bern’s Steak House is business casual to semi-formal. We ask that no t-shirts, athletic tennis shoes, flip-flops, ball caps, shorts, or torn or faded jeans or pants of any material be worn. If any of these items are worn to Bern’s, you may be seated in our lounge area instead of one of the dining rooms. Jackets and ties are encouraged, but not officially required. It is quite common to see formal wear since we are fortunate to be visited often for special occasion meals.
