Growing up I would rush down to our Chevy dealer to get new brochures. I would like to have something new, but can't afford the payments and insurance.

A guy stopped in yesterday in a Ferrari Calif. Special. Although 12 yrs.old, it did excite me some although not the most exotic of the brand.

:iagree: Sold the '06 Z in '09, couldn't justify the storage fees in that economy. Yes we miss it.

As far as new truck, nope! My 2000 ford is still a baby with only 190k miles. For the first time in our adult lives we're debt free. No way i'll buy an $80k truck :seasix:

Looks like Ciocca is sticking with MSRP as opposed to the others with $5K-$20K and more markups. Looks like they'll have a long waiting list.

"The day we have all been waiting for is finally here. Today (Tuesday, 10/26/21) is the reveal of the much-anticipated Corvette Z06, the first every mid-engine Z06.

Now that the reveal is here, Ciocca Corvette, the world’s largest Corvette dealership, is preparing to open our reservation list much like we did with the C8 Stingray. And, like the Stingray, we will be offering the C8 Z06 at MSRP to those on our reservation list.

Ciocca’s Z06 list will open on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 12:00 Noon eastern time. The instructions for how to get on the reservation list will be found at that time at:

Because of the anticipated high traffic at that time, we will not start reaching out to everyone on the list to give them their reservation number until Monday November 8, 2021. No reservation numbers will be given out before that date.

Because our sales team is currently occupied with delivering new, 2022 Stingrays that are rolling off the line, we ask that you do not call the showroom with any questions. If you have any questions, please email them to one of the following:

If you are currently on our Stingray reservation list, you reservation IS NOT transferable to the Z06 list. You will need to send in a new reservation to get on the Z06 list. At that time, you can request a refund to come off the Stingray list should you wish to.

I sure hope the front end styling is improved. Right now IMO kinda looks like an entry-level mid-engine car/kit-car from the front.
Oh, the C8 is not ugly... just for me a little disappointing in the styling dept. The tech is fantastic !

I'd much rather see the aero parts integrated in to the body instead of looking like some one got a JC Whitney gift card and went nuts.

It looks cheap and like a Transformer.

Mine will be a black 2LT Z07, GT2 seats, with carbon fiber wheels...unpainted. Will be the 7th vette and 7th black vette. Initially considered the black painted wheels, but screw that, the carbon fiber looks wicked.

My wife is starting to like the C8, if for no other reason than it has an automatic transmission, so she could drive it. We have discussed it, and basically, if I sell my '70, she is OK with me getting a new one.

Tough choice. I still really like my '70.

One of the reasons I have the '70 is because I enjoy driving the manual.

I taught my wife to drive a manual on my small block '69 vert I had years ago, and she did fine with it. Then, she ran over a median at about 50 mph when we were on vacation, and broke the U-joints on one of the half-shafts. She would never drive that car again after that, and has never driven my '70.
