Week 7 Game Day Thread

Friday Night Football:

Cal @ #9 Oregon (10:30pm EST on ESPN)
#24 San Diego State @ San Jose State (10:30pm EST on CBS Sports Network)

Game of the Week: #11 Kentucky @ #1 Georgia

Now we find out just how good Kentucky is. I don't expect them to win, but if they at least look competitive and score a few points, they could easily find themselves in a New Year's 6 Bowl if they win out, and they'll be favored in every remaining game on their schedule.

UCF @ #3 Cincinnati (Noon EST on ABC)
#10 Michigan State @ Indiana (Noon EST on FS1)
#12 Oklahoma State @ #25 Texas (Noon EST on FOX)
Auburn @ #17 Arkansas (Noon EST on CBS)
#20 Florida @ LSU (Noon EST on ESPN)

Kentucky 2
Georgia 97

Kentucky is just like Ole Miss and Arkansas overrated. Play nobody with their weak ass non conference schedule and then lose when they actually play someone. The NCAA's love fest for the SEC at it's best year after year. :yesnod:

Iowa :spdchk: Thank God they're losing to a terrible Purdue team because Iowa's remaining schedule the rest of the year is weak. Outside of Penn St. they didn't play anyone with their usual weak ass non conference games.

Auburn - told ya so. Better than people think. BIG win over Arkansas since they're in the meat of their schedule now.
Texas A&M - did not sleep-walk after beating 'Bama, did their job and buried hapless Missouri early.
Texas - another gut-wrenching loss
Oklahoma State - the real deal. Big come from behind road win at Texas
Baylor - SEVERELY underrated. Their only loss was a tough, close game against unbeaten Oklahoma State. Dave Aranda can coach. Look at Baylor, and look at LSU's defense without Aranda. Yuck.
LSU - I think it's too early to fire Orgeron. Covid year was weird for many (Penn State was worse than LSU, no one wanted to fire Franklin). LSU has their passing game mojo back, and after today running game as well. Defense has missed Aranda, but this year also getting some major injuries too. If LSU doesn't compete for the SEC West next year, sure fire Orgeron.
Florida - looks like a tough year, but silver lining is Mullen clearly has his QB of the future now. They'll be fine, but this season is a 4-5 loss rebuilding year.
Iowa - everyone knew #2 wouldn't last, but I doubt many of us expected it to end today at home vs. Purdue.
South Carolina - we made a bad hire. Every week, every time I click over to their game I change the channel in short order because they're doing something STUPID. Piss-poor coaching, no discipline, terrible play-calling, boneheaded mistakes on the field, terrible penalties. We currently trail Vanderbilt in the SEC suck-bowl 17-14 at home. AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
Georgia - in a class by themselves even with a shaky offense.
Kentucky - put together a TD drive against UGA's first team defense with the game still in doubt 14-7!!! No one else has put up 7 on UGA's first-team defense.

We're getting clowned at home by Vanderbilt.

This is who we are now.

There is only suffering and darkness.

I told you last week before Arkansas lost to Ole Miss they were way overrated. Beating Arkansas who will end up 7-5 or 8-4 at best is no big thing. :yesnod:

Iowa was owned by a not so good Purdue team today.
Texas went home at half and Ok state walked over them.
Games today were nowhere the quality of last week's match ups.

Rattles was replaced as starter for Oklahoma, good as he wasn't playing well at all.

Will's Top 6:

1. Georgia
2. Oklahoma
3. Cincinnati
4. Michigan
5. Oklahoma State
6. Michigan State

Oklahoma State and Michigan State on the outside looking in, but each will have their shot at Oklahoma and Michigan, respectively.

Looking forward to Ole Miss @ Tennessee starting momentarily. Defense optional.

And his replacement threw 4 touch downs with two TD passes dropped and ran for another. OU secondary suspect though. As I said last week Rattles is done. He didn't celebrate with the team after the win over TX. They are a much better team without him. Here ya go...

Oh, and UT is 0 for Oklahoma this year.

No way they leave Bama out, regardless of logic.

I see Oberon and LSU "came to an agreement" That should be costly...

Lane Kiffin deserves every battery he receives. Put that one in his pocket for his Rabbit.
