I had to buy bootleg tickets in '81 to see them, but, it was THE GREAT Fox Theater in Atl. and not some stupid ass stadium where the sound is terrible, over crowded, standing room, etc...It is THE place to see any concert or show and it be enjoyable.

There was a huge crowd of people across the street and rumors spread they would rush the place when the doors opened. Barriers, security, etc...like I had never experienced at a concert.
I was sneaking in a small cassette recorder (they had just released a very small one that cost $$$ back then. I bought it specifically for this show) bootleg concert audio brought decent $ back in those days.
They opened the doors and people were being 'patted down' on entrance! Scared the crap out of me. And my high dollar bootleg ticket was a different color than the other people around me...Did I get scammed? Tossed out for carrying a tape recorder inside? Nope! When it was my turn someone said they were backing up the entrance line too far outside and just let us pass on through and my ticket was good.
Found my seat. Super hot chick that I bought it from was in the seat beside me. Leopard print top and tight black leggings. She smelled and looked so hawt. Way outta' my league.
The Stray Cats (that I kind of liked at the time) was the opening act and got booed through their entire set. People were there to see the Stones. It was getting late...almost 1 hr. passed after they were supposed to take the stage. Rumors floating around they were going to be a no-show. All that $ I had spent on the ticket and tape recorder down the drain.
The lights dimmed, 'Take the A Train' from Duke Ellington started playing and the curtains were down. That unmistakable 'Under My Thumb' riff started playing and there was THE ROLLING STONES just in front of me!!! I got my recorder going the hawt chick beside me was smoking a joint.
What a night. I never regretted what it cost me to attend and they never played another small venue like the Fox that I know of.
RIP Charlie

I remember seeing Loverboy and 38 Special in the Fox. I also saw the movie Song of the South there, but I'm probably not allowed to speak of it. :D

I saw the Stones with Guns N Roses at the LA Coliseum in the late 80's. Excellent show! I wore the hell out of that teeshirt. Maybe not, I still have it.

There is an SCV group that sells them at Civil War shows. I would have to check on the quality though. Seems like someone may have just burned copies of it and I don't know their source or quality.
