He answered pretty promptly, but I was headed out to spend the weekend on the boat. As fate would have it, the wifi was down at the marina. I'm home now.

Here's the deal:

Days Y2K posted a personal attack on Sly1. Sly1 quoted Days Y2K's errant post. You quoted Sly1 quoting Days Y2K.

The modeerator deleted all of the posts while he worked on the issue. The final outcome was that the personal attack by Days Y2K remained deleted and he was sanctioned. Sly1's post was edited to remove the quote of the attack and was made visible again. Your post was edited to remove the quote of the attack and was made visible again.

What happened was standard procedure for all moderators to address personal attacks made against fellow community members. That includes quoting personal attacks. And, yet, you have once again attacked the site and its moderation and specifically CD99.

You have attacked CD99 as being a "known racist" in just about every complaint you have ever sent me about him and his moderation on the site. I have never found any validity to your complaint. Just as in the most recent, he was just doing what all moderators routinely do.

I have researched CD99's posting record since he became a moderator and vetted him pretty thoroughly when he was among a handful of P&R moderator prospects recommended by other moderators in the P&R section. I have never found any hint that he is racist or has made any racist comments.

When you repeatedly claimed otherwise, I invited you to link me to the posts that would validate your accusations and you have failed to do so. While you say it is my job and not yours to ferret out racist behavior on the site, it is your complaint about racist behavior that does not appear to have any substantiation. There is no validity in saying it's something everybody knows. I don't know it. The other moderators don't know it and you aren't willing to document your repeated accusations.

That being the case, I will no longer assign any credibility to your accusations without substantiation from you. I will consider future unsupported accusations of racism by moderators to be an attack on site moderators and their work.

You should not be surprised in the slightest by these remarks. When I started as a moderator on CF, I was told by Jim that “he would always back up the mod staff and their actions no matter what." So you were ****ed from the get-go. There are a few graves that I really, REALLY don’t care to turn over, but I will do it briefly this time for perspective.

When I, and someone I was involved with were basically being stalked by another Corvette Forum member (many of us know who I’m talking about and I’m not going to dignify these individuals by naming them and I would very much appreciate it if no one else did either), I complained incessantly to both Jim and Jesse. It fell on deaf ears. I was getting the same pages long responses from them filled with long-winded diatribes about how they couldn’t see any problems and basically rationalizing their nonsensical positions, even though what was happening was painfully obvious to many.

I had to resign my position as moderator to get things to stop. And in turn, I was the one who was permabanned for no reason other than I said I was l leaving. No rule about it, no wrongdoing on my part. Once I was gone, the perpetrator magically stopped posting. Jim and Jesse were happy to cut loose someone...myself...who did a lot for the forum in favor of an individual who brought nothing to the table except trouble. Given that, do you really, seriously expect to get a fair shake? Looking back, I realize how juvenile the whole damn thing was, and how I should have taken steps to nip the problem in the bud without the resulting forum drama. But as they say, hindsight is 20-20.

I have no idea what the gist of your issues on CF are, nor do I care as it's not my monkey and not my circus. What I do know is that life is unfair, and it's REALLY unfair when you’re dealing with an autocracy, which is basically what CF has become. But like I said in a previous post, you’re not going to win this one whether you like it or not. And it’s cases like this where turning and walking away is really the best course of action. I’m not telling you what to do. Merely making a suggestion that doing so might be a good way to not have to deal with this headache anymore and preserve your dignity.

I can tell you what I did. I posted in a thread about censorship and social "cancelling". I noted that censorship wasn't just limited to government, but that social media sites were also heavily involved in censorship. Then I pointed out that the rules in CFOT had gotten more restrictive, too. I said "try posting something insensitive in here and see what that gets you now". And I got banned. :rofl:

I can tell you what I did. I posted in a thread about censorship and social "cancelling". I noted that censorship wasn't just limited to government, but that social media sites were also heavily involved in censorship. Then I pointed out that the rules in CFOT had gotten more restrictive, too. I said "try posting something insensitive in here and see what that gets you now". And I got banned. :rofl:

Basically, their actions confirmed the very point I was making, and I didn't even really say anything insensitive, nor did I call out any mods. :rofl: Stupid liberal snowflakes can ruin anything.

Actually, the band broke up because my fatass cousin, the Wicked Bitch of the West Side, decided to hook up with my drummer and did a Yoko-Ono to us.
