what is it about the way a person lives their day-to-day life that they want/need to escape from?

Seems like the better course would be to get things in ones life straightened-out to where there's no need for a chemically induced solution. I guess the same goes for alcohol dependence.

I don't have a problem with it being legal or folks using it on occasion. It's the "seasoned" users that believe marijuana is some kind of wonder drug and "can't leave home without it". It's like any other substance, no free lunches, there is always a price to pay.

I have many patients on it here in Oklahoma.

As I work in UC as well as pulmonary, I discourage smoking, as any inhalation of smoke is bad.

Since medical marijuana was legalized a few years back, I saw a massive jump in older patients consuming it.


My 0.2cents. Edibles are fairly safe, would recommend starting with a very low dose and working up to see what you tolerate.

I recommend this one to patients frequently and have them take at bedtime.

The biggest issue I encounter is that edibles take up to 2 hours for some to feel the effects, as a results they assume (incorrectly) the dose is too low and consume more and end up with too much in their system.

My stance is I am not for recreational use, to just "get high" I am all for using this in the place of dangerous/addictive prescription substances.

There are so many strains available now that it is easy to chose a product that meets a patients specific needs.

The biggest issue I encounter is that edibles take up to 2 hours for some to feel the effects...

a common drawback with any medication. The active ingredient in Marijuana can be put in an inhaler (like asthma medication) that can give almost instance relief.

But the hippie culture wants nothing to do with that type of delivery method.

Weed, per se', and THC Gummies are two different things.
I agree with the good doctor that smoking it is detrimental to ones lungs. Gummies as a delivery vehicle is safe and efficient.
Alcohol and prescription drugs are a lot more detrimental to ones health than THC gummies.
