Damn, I hate this shit. He almost made it to 19.

We found out last Thursday That he had a mass in his belly...vet suspected lymphoma. He had been losing weight but was acting good and eating really well. But he started leaving presents for us outside the litter box which prompted the vet visit last week.

Over the weekend, things started to go bad quickly...appetite went away. Acting weak, trouble walking. By Monday it was pretty clear that we had to make a decision. Mrs. V and I still feel like crap today. Have I mentioned how much this sucks?

RIP Dusty :sadangel::sadangel::sadangel::sadangel::sadangel::sadangel:

Sorry for the loss of your kitty. Losing one of our pets is so devastating.

Damn. Sorry to hear that. I joke about cats, but I know it's a big loss, and how much it hurts. 19 was a good long life, though, and it's clear kitty had a very good home and was well loved and cared for. Stay strong.

My pooch, Leah

has a large mass on her left rear hip, so her time is short, but as long as she's happy, eating well, and getting around mostly normally, we'll just try to keep her happy.

we've had her for almost 8 years now, got her from the animal shelter. Mrs. DAB has already looked online for her eventual replacement (another Mutt no doubt).

years ago, Mrs. DAB had to put her cat down. sad day.

Sorry for your loss. As was said earlier, 19 years is a good long run for a cat.
Proof he had a good and caring home.

We have had to put several down over the years. It never gets easier

Be sure to pay tribute to your fuzzy buddy in the Rainbow Bridge Sticky. It will keep him front an center instead of the thread getting pushed out further and further.

Very sorry for your loss. Not too many guys that are cat lovers. I grew up with them and still miss the ones that I lost.

:iagree:

When I lost Cosmo, I became involved in a local (and now an online) pet loss support community, and one of the things discussed is making sure to capture the memories of your pet. :yesnod:

Sorry for your loss. Within the last month, we had to put both our dogs down. First my beloved Schnauzer Pepper, and then the Corgi last week. After we had to put him down, the Corgi went to hell in a hand basket. It was the craziest thing. Both made it to 15 years...:sadangel:

I seem to remember reading about a scare that Leah gave you a while back. Glad she's still plugging along. :angel:

Good idea, I will post there. I don't click there too often as it tends to make my...uh...allergies act up. :sadangel:
