View Full Version : Congrats to Female Soldiers, for Getting a Year off from Deploying after Childbirth
https://www.military.com/daily-news/2021/02/11/female-marines-who-called-out-corps-commend-new-postpartum-policy.html
So, get knocked up, you can not be fit to deploy for months before delivering a baby, and now you've got a full year AFTER having the baby to meet the fitness standard to deploy.
Sounds like we're going to be getting our money's worth out of our female soldiers, especially now that Biden is ramping up our overseas wars again.

Females should not be front line soldiers or police officers, now we have another reason to make that statement.

Unfortunately there will be more than a few who turn into baby factories and we pay for absolutely nothing for years on end.

when I had company command, I knew the barracks queens in my company were going to purposely get knocked up to keep from deploying. We planned from day one that they weren't soldiers we could count on to be downrange.
If the Army wanted you to have a child, they’d issue you one.

Men and transgenders should get the exact same time off because...equality.

Reasonable.

Yep. Several girls on my ships got knocked up and got out of deployment. And guess what ? No replacements. So we suffered for their actions.

And if they got pregnant while downrange, we hit them with article 15 UCMJ action along with the father.

How? Well, if he got her knocked up apparently he was adequate :funnier:
It wasn't hard to find out who, though Everybody knew who all was hooking up and getting the info was easy.

I'll repeat that I am 100% for vetting out all of the conservatives from the military. When we suffer troop shortages and the draft is reinstated, only libs will get drafted. That ought to tip the scales back to normal.

What gets me, is that there a small number of females who are every bit as tough and gung ho as the guys. Maybe even more so. THOSE women are great to have around, because they can be counted on.

I feel bad for him that Trump won't be the one to sign his discharge. Also, in 2 years, there's no telling how many wars we will be in. We've already re-invaded Syria, and that planned ending of the Afghan War/troop pull out? Yeah, that's no longer happening.

And in my experience at least half of them were competing for the same chicks the guys wanted to nail. :yesnod:

I don't get it. What happens to the baby? It just stays behind and raises itself? Or is it forced to tag along into a war zone?

Had a co-worker decades ago that had just gotten out of the Navy. He had planned on making it his whole life, but he was on a destroyer that had a large female crew. 90% of them got pregnant while underway and at first port were sent back to desk duty at their base, but retained a higher hazard type pay. It was treated s if it couldn't be their fault they got pregnant, so why should they lose pay? He said that once the single mothers had their kids, there was al kinds of advocates and support for keeping the mother on shore in a job situation with pay. In other words, they were useless to the service but carried anyway.
My co-worker did 3 tours on the ship where many of the women did exactly this. Then he found that women with far less service time were getting advanced beyond him. You know, they had a kid to take care of so needed more money and all. He was so disgusted he finally quit at the next possible time. He did later regret it and found that Hospital ships with women on crew apparently didn't have the same dynamic. But this is a new thing, I only worked with the guy in 1986.......
