Pet shop owner opens fire after masked, armed men storm store

CLEVELAND, OH - Cleveland Police have arrested two males in connection with an aggravated robbery at a pet store Saturday evening.
According to Cleveland Police Sgt. Morris, Saturday around 8:01 p.m. officers were dispatched to 4070 E. 71st Street at the Neptune Corner Pet Store for an aggravated robbery.
Once on scene, officers were told two black male suspects entered the store with weapons drawn. During the robbery attempt, the owner was able to get to his firearm and an exchange of gunfire ensued between the suspects and the store owner.
After the exchange of gunfire, the suspects fled the scene in an undetermined direction.
Sunday, police said that Emanuel T. Scott, 19 of Cleveland and Corey J. Parker, 20 of Cleveland, black male 20 years of were both arrested for Aggravated Robbery and Felonious Assault.
Parker is currently in city jail and Scott is confined at MetroHealth Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds, one shot to his left hand and three shots to the upper torso.
The owner of the pet store was not injured.
