Does anyone else realize that none of this BS makes sense? We are being fed a load of shit.

Two cases of some African variant of Covid popped up right? What would would prompt them to check for a variant? Positive tests are in the hundreds of thousands and these two people get singled out for some variant? Why?

Secondly, it is awfully convenient that it responds to the vaccine at about a 60% level just like most vaccines. Sounds like a way to cover their asses when vaccinated people expecting 90% success, continue to get Covid. "Oh, well then, it must be the African strain"

It also extends the mandates because it's a new wave of illness.

Yep ; bullcrap ..:yesnod:

How can they claim a variant when AFAIK they don't have an isolated 'gold standard' SARS-COV2 virus to compare it to ..

Maybe the ''new variant' is a cover for potential vaccine problems ..

YMMV..:seasix:

There's always virus variants, dozens each year and they take an educated guess which to make vacinne for. If you recall a couple of times they guessed wrong and we had really bad flu seasons. This is nothing different, they're hoping these variants will be covered by the current vacinnes. Testing is way behind so the variants have been here for months, they weren't looking for the last variant when oh my it's here and had been. It'll be a year or two more before comprehensive quick testing is available widespread.

The question remains...someone shows up with Covid symptoms and takes the test. It pops positive. Boom, you go home, or to the hospital if you are in really bad shape. What prompted them to look further to see if it was a different covid from the rest of the nation? I think it's bullshit and absolutely a way to explain the failing vaccines.

If you look for negativity it’ll be easy to find. I thought this was suppose to die out once Biden took office. Where’d that thought process go

Chicago and LA have relaxed restrictions. A news story stated that infections are down 11% and my local news has reported for the first time, that the infection rate is under 1 (greater than 1 indicated spread, less than 1 indicates slowing down).

Not that I believe any of that is true, but it supports a Biden fix.
