Yes, I remember when "Y2K" happened, I was working for Dun & Bradstreet, so we had computer equipment all over the world. The Senior Executives demanded that the heads of IT in places like Australia and Singapore check in every hour after their midnight to let them know if the world was ending.

When Y2K happened, I was watching ZZ Top play, at a show that would normally have been sold out, but because of the hysteria, we bought tickets for UNDER face value from a scalper and had a great time.

My kids were 2 and 4 at the time, so the wife and kids snoozed in the new year. I sat alone in my family room with a fire going until a few minutes after midnight, and hit the sack. If it wasn't for the hysteria leading up to it, it would have been a totally forgettable night.
