So what's on the menu this year?

Nothing to extraordinary here, big ham, sweet taters, veggies and pie main features. Easy to make.

Before the dinner plenty of snacks included about 5 different types of chip type items and plenty of different spread to dip into. Five or so different cheeses, peanuts and hard candy!

For dinner best bet some ham and roast beef with all the usual things that go with those meals. Deserts' all sort's of cookies, cakes, ice-creams.

It will be at my DIL mothers house, she loves to cook and set up things like this. The problem is there will be nine people and she has enough stuff to take care of 30 people easy!

Similar to most years, but a little less work.
Fruit and vegetable tray, Rib roast, pre-made Mac & Cheese and
scalloped potatoes, a salad, and an apple pie.

Don't know for sure if my daughter and her kids and husband will
show up as they usually do, but we'll be prepared if they do.
Otherwise, I'll be eating rib steak sandwiches for a while.

Our hospitals are struggling right now due to the number of covid patients. It’s bad...and humbling. I will be working both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at one of our more remote hospital locations.

I will be with some of my coworkers that also happen to be some of the best people I know. So, even if we’re stuck sharing vending machine treasures, that’ll be just fine. :grouphug:

Merry Christmas, Everyone!!

First year without My girls on Christmas, they went to in-laws this year (first time ever)

With that said we bailed and went to the mountains where we like to be, grabbed some take out.

We'll visit them and other family on the way home tomorrow then they'll be over on Sunday for the grub... :seasix:

Thank you.

I’m not usually “patient facing” in my normal role but these are desperate times at many hospitals. I was just helping out. The credit goes to people that do it everyday.

Sriracha Chicken Burrito from Qdoba.

Christmas was postponed due to my son's girlfriend, his roommate and his roommate's girlfriend all tested positive for Covid. My son took 3 tests...all negative. Tomorrow night the kids and I will be going out to a local Bistro for dinner.

I'm so ready for this f'd up year to be over.
