Anyone else been hit by one...
Uncle almost killed walking home from school age 7 or 8. Went thru windshield the hard way.
Hit twice riding in cars as a kid, both middle of the day. Luckily just minor injuries as seat belts weren't being worn back then. Well mom ate the steering wheel and broke her nose. It was a guy who worked with my dad the one.
Two times driving myself, both late and about total my car. Both ran from accidents and were never caught. Both were in the winter strange enough.
A Teen girl was killed at end of the street in a crosswalk middle of the day from a drunk. Dad had to go ID her as they thought it was my sister. That must have been a rough time, it was a girl from a couple blocks over.
Wife has been hit 3 times probably more when she worked a late shift. All took off, luckily only minor damage. Two got out of cars and then left so she knew they were smashed.
I grew up with a guy who couldn't hold his liquor, one drink and he'd be smashed. Three drunk crashes in a year about killed him, luckily I never rode with him ever as he was a horrible driver sober.

Yes I'm bored and it's cold out again today.

I think my wife's cousin holds the DUI record of 11. Thankfully he never killed or hurt anyone but himself. He's been sober 11 years now.:yesnod:

I haven't had an accident in 20+ years, and that one was a +/- 3 mph tap.

I was hit by a car when I was 9. Crossing in the school crosswalk, leaving little league practice. Car hit me right in the head, threw me all the way back onto the grass on the school grounds. I have no idea if the driver was drunk or not.

as a kid I had to jump onto a neighbors lawn with my dog as the neighbor who was always driving drunk came up on the sidewalk....back then it was not a big deal unless you killed someone I guess :faint:
