I tell one of my black friends every year that I can't get him a Christmas gift this year because the only thing I can think of for him is a gift card to "Popeye's", and he is vegan. It's kind of like the "Jewish Conundrum", which of course is "free ham".

I might not be the most PC guy around. :shrug:

I sent a Christmas card to a good friend many years back. Yes he was Jewish!

It said Roses are redish Violets are blueish if it had not been for Christmas we would all be Jewish.

He got a big laugh out of it, told me wait till next year and see what I send you for christmas.

Then unfortunately his father saw the card and went ballistic.. He called it sacrilegious. Well it was not for him!

Yes, that card is funny. If I see one, I'll buy it and send it to my old college roommate. I'm sure he would get a big laugh out of it. :yesnod:

Years ago when i was stationed in Seoul, my little brother came to visit just before Christmas. We ended up at the Namdaemun Market and there was all sorts of winter clothing on sale at the outdoor stands. Well, we found something for his best friend who we still refer to as "Asian Steve" because he's half Fillipino and looks nothing like their friend "Fat Steve."

Anyway, we buy these winter gloves and send it to him for Christmas. Not long after he opened the presents a few weeks later, my brother gets a phone call and I get an email about the gift. Man, his fillipino mom was pissed when he showed her what we sent when he opened the box.

It was a pair of black ski gloves that had the adjustable, embroidered wrist strap. The wrist strap was embroidered with 3 white K's on it. That had to be the best gift we ever sent anyone and he still has the gloves. :rofl:
