Wait. Whut? How in the wide world of sports can you see troops returning back to the US to be stationed here contributing to unemployment in the US?

The soldiers are still employed. And don't you think jobs will be created to support those over 6,000 soldiers now that they are home? Their paychecks will be spent stateside, in the US. American companies will be providing the food for the chow hall, fuel for the vehicles, and everything else that's required to garrison troops anywhere. Why do you think Germany is so pissed about this? All the German companies that service these troops are going to lose business. It's going to hit them in the pocket book, and Germany will lose jobs, creating more unemployment.....in Germany.


Also, one area the left and libertarians USED to have in common was bringing troops home and not starting new wars. Well, Trump has started no wars, is trying to end others, and is bringing troops home. Why are you suddenly opposed to troops coming home now?

There's a cool little museum at Ft. Bliss, and was, at least when I visited, open to the public. When I was passing through, I decided to see if I could get in, on a whim. The guard shack checked my license and insurance, gave me some kind of paperwork to leave in the car, told me how to get to the museum, and that was that.

There's a Border Patrol museum in El Paso, and a small, but interesting, natural history museum in the area as well. It also goes without saying that there are plentiful places to get great Tex Mex and good Mexican food.
