Put some bacon on it. Bacon makes everything tastes better.

Southerners will eat anything fried. The strangest thing I saw was fried fatback in Georgia.

It was delicious.

I will kill any invasive lizard I see and will leave the carcass to bloat in the sun. Ditto invasive snakes, fish, moths, bees or whatever flora there might be here.

Lots of Texans have ties to our neighbor, Louisiana, especially those close to the border. We love red beans and rice, etoufee, crawfish, and other traditionally Louisiana dishes. Personally, I don't like okra, but can tolerate it if it's deep fried. I also drink chickory coffee, but I don't think that's as popular here as it is in Southeast Louisiana.
