When several of us rode up to The Tail of the Dragon several years ago, we also rode the Cherohala Skyway. Of course we are lumbering along on our Harley's, and the crotch rocket assholes thought the road was their personal race track. They honestly deserved having their asses kicked. They passed us at probably 120-130 mph, and thing is, you never saw them in your mirror, and had no idea they were approaching until they scared the shit out of you when they passed. Not saying that there aren't assholes on every type of bike, or for that matter, anything with an engine, but their total disregard for everyone's safety was unimaginable.:issues:

Pennsylvania Law requires that any person who operates or rides a motorcycle (including an autocycle) must wear protective headgear unless he or she is over 21 years of age or older and has either two years of riding experience or has completed a motorcycle safety course approved by PennDOT or the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.


That said, I ALWAYS wear mine when riding in addition to a motorcycle jacket,long pants, boots and gloves.

Yesterday on I75 me and my wife was going to Cinn. when 2 crotch rockets passed us at a high rate of speed. 5 miles later they were on the side of the road with 2 State Police cruisers one in front and one in back of the 2 idiots.:cert:

Later in the day, after a trip into town (was driving the truck this time), another asshole in a crotch rocket passed me like I was standing still (I was doing 55 in a 50 zone). There was traffic up ahead, so the douche rocket was stuck behind additional cars. Karma, muther****er!

My house is on a very popular cruising / connector road so plenty of cycles go past ( had a nice group of street rods this morning go past during breakfast :cool1: )

So I see the "racers" go past in full leathers wearing all the gear plus the village idiots wearing shorts and flip flops :bslap: cruiser guys are just as bad with lack of gear too.

Personally I will wear full gear as sweat washes off, road rash doesn't :yesnod:

Wow. Guy does have skillz. All the people lined up in the school zone though, I knew what was coming. He's lucky he braked hard enough to make that a slow speed hit, otherwise he wouldn't have gotten up and walked.
