They're gonna bend over backwards and give 20% of two months insurance credit. I suppose I should be thankful but fukk all, I'm not on the road as much and I know most others aren't either. That means USAA claims are also down. So, be a big spender there Scrooge McDuck and give a whole 20% of two months. Now you see why I only have their insurance? I will say their insurance has provided me with great customer service and the best rates so far. The minute that changes, so will I.

They can keep the check, just credit my account. I requested they do that the last time, I guess they didn't hear me.

Isn't that what they are doing?

Every member with an auto insurance policy in effect as of March 31, 2020, will receive a 20% credit on two months of premiums in the coming weeks. All told, we're returning about $520 million.

You will receive a credit applied to your bill. There is no need to call or take any action.

Refund check for $82.86. No activity in my acct. to warrant that, bill not due until June...???

So it sits on my desk, bank is closed, says don't mail either.

Ah you pay 6 months at a time.

Guess you don't have a USAA bank acct.

Just auto and home insurance, no banking with them.

I saw an article last week that said that insurance claims are down nearly 80%.

Smart of the insurance companies to get out in front of it and make it seem like they are doing this great altruistic thing.

Yeah we fired USAA after they took a year to cover our medical costs. They use pits just like everyother company so you have to explain the whole story everytime you call and basically start all over everytime.

pits?

Call pits, call centers or whatever you want to call them. Every time my wife would call she’d have to talk to a different person, there wasn’t a single point of contact.

Ahh. Indian (dot) work areas.

i've never dealt with a (dot) when calling USAA for anything. I' might have had to gett the Jive Translator on board to help with some ebonics and what I call the "Uhh no u di---int" accent, but never an Indian (dot) accent.

Same style yes but typically US based.

Yeah, 20% seems pretty anemic. I'm the only person leaving my house and only for work and the essentials. Our risk has been cut by more like 80%. I guess we should be happy we're getting something...

I've got no complaint with USAA insurance. We had a Tornado go through a month or so ago. Had a bit of damage to the roof. They replaced the entire roof, and they covered it all (less $500 deductible).

USAA is basically owned by those it insures.

In times like these I will accept any and all gestures offered by major corporations as they certainly could simply pocket the extra income like the drug companies do. Even a small rebate is so rare as to be refreshing my belief that not every corporation is solely dedicated to shareholder returns at whatever cost. So bring it on State Farm... I am ready to accept your largess!

I only watched enough to confirm what I thought.

Insurance companies have to pay out so much in claims versus the premiums they bring in...just like casinos. :leaving:
I was pretty sure that was the case with health insurance and thought it was the same for vehicles.
