Damn, sorry to hear about that. I guess now we have broken that barrier, one of us knowing someone personally who had it, and worse, didn't make it. Condolences.

Sorry to hear this and it will start to hit "home" more and more.
Two of the wife's co-workers texted her last night and one's mother down in Florida is now at high risk because her roommate has tested positive and she is in self confinement at her house.
The others mother is at a nursing home here in N.H. and one per there has tested positive so now the whole place is on lock-down.:sadangel:

A hospital is never a good place to be in, even though it is sometimes necessary. When you are in the hospital, always remember your first priority is to get out of the hospital as soon as you safely can.:yesnod:

Very sorry to hear. :(
I will do all I can to avoid any medical treatment facility as long as I can. I am afraid for my parents. They have semi-regular visits and it comes down to weighing treatment against total avoidance.

I'm sorry to hear this. Did he get treated with HCQ? If not, I'd love to hear the reasons why.

Well, OP did mention his friend had heart issues, and it is contraindicated in patients with heart issues at it could lead to cardiomyopathy, but I’m not a doctor.

It just seems that at 45-years-old they would have pulled out all the stops, and if they didn't at least give it a shot it seems like that's, idk, wrong?

I'm not either, but if he's dying anyway, uh...

Definitely to young. I found out today one of our local small tow company owners, who I've known for 20 years, died Friday of COVID-19.He was older though. Concerns me, since due to my job I interact frequently with his son, who spends pretty much every day with his dad in the cab of a tow truck...
