eeeek!!!
 I’ve been on a lobster boat in some rough seas but that’s a bit much!
Sure says a lot about their seaworthiness.

No way the bilge pumps could keep up with that. Stuck in the trough.....amazing if they survived.

It would have sank if I'd been on board, the inside of the boat would have been filled with shiet after the first big roller. :yesnod:

That is some ugly water, I'd rather be in 30 footers than that breaking toilet bowl water.

Serious. It seemed no matter how much power the boat had-the wave just sucked it back into the trough.

I guess it's important to have hatches that seal :leaving:

That's frigging truth! Back during WWII there was a British Heavy Cruiser that got into some weather like that. They recorded water 6 foot over the tops of the turrets. The crew reported that water was spraying in around the gun shrouds in the turrets like high pressure hoses. They recorded that the whole ship other than the bridge superstructure submerged completely more than 160 times during the storm. :yesnod:

US and Canadaian coast guard both have rough seavessels that are capable of rollovers at sea, without any damage. They are quite amazing to see them in action. I found this little snippet of one of them.......

Holy crap! You'd have to have balls of steel to be out in those seas in that trawler. :willy:

on the ships I was on-anything over 35 degress and shit starts falling off. Cranes, Radar towers...etc....
Still, water over the stack is not a good thing.
