About every three months we take a trip to BJ's Wholesale Warehouse (like a Costco) to pick up bulk paper items, household goods, bulk foods. Wasn't too bad, had TP but limited to two bundles per member and two cases of water per member. Only things I noticed they were short of were fresh meats, and Raman soup mixes, all the rest of the shelves were full......go figure.

This is a preliminary event. This is a practice run for something huge. I'm not going to begin to guess what it is, but some big shit is going to go down and this is the experiment that determines how we will all react.
Could be Chinese or NK nukes, could be alien visitors. Who knows, but I am not buying that this "flu plus" is all there is to what we are seeing.

Eggie went to BJ's on Sunday and didn't even seek TP or other paper goods. A 36 pack goes a long way and there is one at each house. Picked up some nice meats and staples like rice, eggs and a three pack of bacon just in case the world goes crazy. Only got things that can be stored or frozen. People are out of their friggen minds, lol.
meanwhile, we are still working as usual after consultation with our clients ( mainly medical facilities). Our clients biggest fear......not corona virus, no, no ,no. They are afraid of something breaking and tradesmen being scared to come fix it, lol.

Only rants 1 and 5 are about Trump. But you wouldn't know that because you didn't bother to watch the whole thing. ;)

Wife has a compromised immune system and has been a bit afraid to go out of the house for obvious reasons.....I have gone to the stores with little success getting staples (chips, cheetos,a cabbage for the corned beef etc) but today I got her out and we walked two miles on the boardwalk looking at the ocean..:seasix:...was so nice getting fresh air there were people out but now hundreds....wondering what the "season" will be like:shrug:

**** no I didn't watch an hr and a half of that. I'd rather lick a counter at Taco Bell.
All starting to make sense...Trump said today that they want to send all adults a check for $1000. This leads me to believe that we are about to be told mandatory quarantine and the $1k is probably so people can stock up. Keep in mind, Amazon just announced they are stopping deliveries on all items except food and medical; plus Trump even said that yesterday he had a meeting with all major grocery chain operators. About to get hairy people.

Wasn't it Romney who said that first?

Interesting theory. $1000 will definitely buy a lot of toilet paper. :yesnod:

Romney has said it, Bernie said it, and several others have said that people need cash. One additional thing Trump did say, people making over $1million/year will not qualify for the checks

Got this from my daughter:
I have held my breath long enough. Here’s my rant.
Pay attention folks, there's much more going on here than what meets the eye.
Is it a coincidence that just when the economy is booming, the stock market is setting record highs, we are winning the trade wars, school shootings have stopped, our nation is at peace, the Democratic party is a disaster and so is their likely nominee(Biden). He hasn't a chance in hell & they're not about to let an outsider(Bernie) destroy their scheme.
It looks like Trump is a sure bet for reelection after fending off 3 years of investigations and impeachment, then all the sudden world crisis pandemic. Stock market tumbles, companies are laying off employees, everything is closed and canceled, CEO's of giant companies are resigning and indictments are coming. Now they say there are a couple ways a President doesn't win reelection. Those are an unpopular war or a poor economy.
But there is something larger going on here driving this sudden outbreak right after Trump beats an impeachment. Especially the fact that it(Coronavirus)originated in China who we are in a global trade war with brought on by Trump. Let's not forget Biden's back door deals with CHINA as well.
China doesn't want 4 more years of Trump either. It all seems rather convenient for the nations and opponents of our current President and economy 5 months before an election. Couldn't have hit at a more perfect time.
With the Democrats running out of campaign talking points in light of no school shootings, no migrant caravans at the southern border, fighting in Syria winding down, North Korea not firing missiles and Trump beating a sham impeachment. The coronavirus gave them one last hail mary to try and point fingers at Trump with the clock winding down in 2020.
This is almost the perfect fascist playbook. Control the population with fear-mongering and panic, control the media, spread propaganda and the fan-favorite disarm the population.
Sorry but I don't think we are all going to die. Remember when Ebola was what was going to kill us all, and the media kept showing the piles of body bags that were prepared for the fallout. Then a month later it was totally forgotten. The common flu has killed more people this year already and the media is SILENT! A handful of deaths out of 320 million Americans and we are in panic tearing down our society and costing our economy billions in the wake. It all just seems fishy, a little too well-timed if you ask me. Let's wait it out and see as this snowball keeps getting bigger.

There is no doubt in my mind that there are many progressive libs that are secretly ecstatic over this situation and will do everything they can to spin it against Trump.
Based on my personal experience dealings with China, I have zero trust that they have been honest with the narrative they have put out there. The number one priority is always protect the power and the image of The Party.

Honestly I wish they'd make it so only those people who are affected directly by this (getting laid off, having to take off work to take care of their kids, small business owners) get this money. That won't happen due to the time constraints, and the government is always great at wasting money.
Also, I owe the IRS $5k this year. Got a 90-day reprieve.

Of this there can be no question. :yesnod:
And when the second wave of infections hits them hard theCCP will still find a way to claim victory.
