Went to the OKC Car Show this afternoon and saw the C8 for the first time in person. It was a white one with a blue and black two tone interior and silver snowflake wheels. I like it and will buy one when the Grand Sports are available. But I don't "have to have one" like I did when the C7s were debuted.

Still doesn't get to me like my C7 Z06. Great car if you want a mid-engine, no argument, I guess I'm just a FE/RWD fan.

I really like it but am a little leery about an early model with such significant changes from the prior platform. Plus I am still disappointed that there is no manual transmission available. Maybe in another year or two.
Waiting on the wide body but I will get one.

I'd be very surprised if a manual would be made available in a couple of years. Pleasantly surprised, of course. I too would prefer a manual. If I do decide to buy a C8, I'll be driving it first. My '18 'Mero has the 8 speed automatic, and I hate it. I'm sure this Vette doesn't have the same transmission, but I'll need a long test drive to ensure it doesn't suck.
With the 8 speed transmission in the RAM, it took a few hundred miles for the transmission to figure out my driving style. Almost never feel it shift, unless I punch the throttle. The 'Mero, with 4500 miles on it, still can't figure out what gear to be in. :slap:

The C8 is a 7 speed DCT so it should be much improved over the A8 in the C7.

When I first saw the C6 I wanted one and got one. When I first saw the C7 I wanted one and got one. When I saw the C8 during the dealer tour I didn't have the same feeling as I did with the C6 and C7. But as I see more of them the C8 might grow on me to a point of buying one.:cert:
