I got a call from an old military buddy last night with some terrible news. A mutual friend of ours in Nashville is about to the end with brain cancer. I was floored. Truthfully, I hadn't talked to Jeff since he left active duty in 1996 or '97. That said, we had been good "work" friends the whole time we worked in a common area. He did his enlistment, and then went on his way. Apparently, he has done pretty well, and I couldn't be more proud to have considered him a friend. Try to throw some good vibes their way. :sadangel:

He is already in hospice care. I wish the same thing, but unfortunately, it is all but over.:sadangel:

My uncle(retired air force mechanic exposed to agent orange) had large tumor twice removed from his brain. Thought was his son during one visit. He made it almost 2 years after the 1st surgery. Oldest aunt on that side had passed from it back in the early 60s. :sadangel:

Those folks who work hospice are truly angels on earth. :yesnod:
When Mary's Dad was near, they made him comfortable and helped out his wife too.

If nothing else, his illness has brought a few of us together, that I hadn't spoken to in a while. Just got off the phone with another guy I was on AD with, and he is in Nashville with Jeff and his family. I hate that it took a serious illness for a few of us to contact each other, but heck, it's like I talked to them last week. I know at least my sick friend will get a message from me.:sadangel:

That cancer dude is well overdue for an ass whooping. He took my mom and my favorite aunt.
The sad thing is cancer mutates and it's not "One" thing.
