Unfortunately my wife leaned onto/into a stick while getting firewood and although I can't see any damage, it's uncomfortable for her.

She had cataract surgery and is afraid she may have dislodged the lense.

Off to the eye doctor in the morning, hope it's not bad. Please say a prayer or good thoughts for her.

Jeff

Mary's eye is fine, turned out to be a minor abrasion

Jeez that sucks, hopefully just bruised it and no damage.

Depending on long she had surgery, today the lenses once “grown in” are really strong, some say better than nature.

But I’m not fighting it either... good luck to misses

Prayer out for no damage and wife's comfort. I did the same thing a month ago.
I actually saw the twig growing larger just before it hit and not enough time
to pull aside.

:iagree: Have heard the same thing, my left lens was replaced years ago but I hope to never test the theory :nonod: :ack:

Luckily eyes tend to heal very quickly, here’s hoping it’s only a minor injury that eyedrops can take care of :yesnod:

Any eye injury though tends to make one feel miserable, so Mary has my thoughts and prayers :seasix:

Tell Morgan the Dog to stay close to Mama while she heals :)

I hope there is no lasting damage, just a quick fix and be done. :seasix:

So? What's it look like now? Very red? Vision blurry or clearing up. Prayers it's not serious.

man, eyes are nothing to mess with. Hope she is ok. if need be, go right to wills eye down in the city. They have performed eye surgery on me when I had a hunk of metal sticking out of it and rust rings forming. excellent care there. hope she is ok!

Next time, try to use galvanized metal, so you won't get the rust rings.

Mary got in to the eye doctor late in the day. It's just a minor abrasion and it's already started to heal. Dr Posner was very happy with how it started to heal and prescribed antibiotic eye drops and an over the counter sauve to help promote healing of the eye tissue itself.

Thank you everyone for the prayers and well wishes. I am extremely thankful and also glad it wasn't serious.

Will's Eye Hospital is one of the top ranked eye centers as Engalf mentioned. I'm not sure if it's at Will's but Dr Posner teaches in Phila. He did both Mary's eyes for cataract surgery. Both turned out great.

now that you are sure you didn't break her, get her these for doing chores. https://www.amazon.com/Y50BKAFC-Safety-Performance-Resistant-Comfortable/dp/B07253G22T/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=safety+glasses&qid=1581383258&sr=8-4

I have a couple pair of wrap around shooting glasses ( both yellow and tinted) in the fishing bag. She's already "confiscated" them for outdoor work.

But thanks for the link. :cert:

I ordered these couple weeks ago for someone with eye injury. They have lots of lense choices.
