Prayers for your GS. RSV has been horrible this year, it is hard on the little ones but they usually do VERY well under close care in the hospital. Hope the same is true for your little sweet one.

Thanks for the well wishes folks, appreciate it, but on oxygen sounds rough to me.....so I a bit upset over this.....oh well, not mutch I can do from Florida when he is in Bawltimore region.....hopefully one of the Hopkins groups is doing the treatment, they have a good/decent name in medi fields......
I'm not a Doctor, but I play one on the Interwebs, and am sponsored by Pfizer and other Big Pharma Companies to socially influence certain demographics.
Infants and Toddlers are highly susceptible to today's RSV.
Unlike us older Boomers, they didn't drink water from a Garden Hose to properly build up their immune systems.
The Oxygen is Standard Operating Procedure to assist with breathing and introducing other general Hospital Germs via the tubing and such.
Kid will be fine.
Now to address the umbilical stumpage you referenced, that is a sign he'll be envied in the Jr. High Shower Locker Room after Gym Class.
Oh Wait, they don't have Gym Class anymore, nevermind.
Well wishes and positive vibes sent - keep those threads and posts coming, we're here for you.

That's a nasty bug, thankfully he's in a good place to be treated.
The human body, particularly young ones, have a tremendous ability to heal.
Still, it's scary as hell to have little ones that sick. We'll keep him in our thoughts/prayers.
