From what I have heard, you have to make them scan it to know for sure. I had one local store that hadnt updated their system. I stopped by today and they were doing it right then. I just pushed my cart by the register and told them to fill it up with all the 9mm they had.

Expecting Zombie attack?
Nopw. I am expecting that this is the cheapest and easiest ammo purchase i will see in my lifetime. Five years from now when you have to submit for permission to buy 20 rounds for $10, i wont be hating it as much as everyone else.

I used to buy a box of .22 every time we went. When it got scarce a couple years ago I was trading ammo for guns. What I paid $20 or less a box for was hitting $65/75 a box. I just sat back and smiled. Still have a safe full. Just in case.

Right after Walmart made their courageous "no more assault weapon ammo"
statement, I cleaned up on their existing stock of the Winchester 200 rd boxes
of 5.56 ammo. I found out they restocked on Sundays and so every Monday morning
for about 2 months I kept buying. About 7K rds but I'm pretty well stocked for myself
and a couple of close friends for quite awhile now.
It's had good reviews and it's been my first choice for a couple of years now.
Good for barter in the coming times too! Got LOTS of .22 for barter!
