I had that before. Lately I have had just Windows Defender since I got rid of Kaspersky.

You don't need anything beyond the Windows Defender that comes bundled with your OS.

For now. Microsoft is getting out of the anti-virus business soon.

Windows Defender here too. However my browsing habits and PC discipline probably keep me out of trouble more than any anti-virus.

I use http://www9.fmovies.to to watch movies, shows, etc... Yeah, illegal as hell if you're hosting it, but not to stream.

Anyway, on MAC and PC, the only way I've had no problems is to have endpoint/defender running while using Firefox with Adblock Plus. Haven't had a single virus in over 3 years since I first found the site.

Same here. I run the Dissenter browser for normal browsing duty, it's based off the Brave browser but has all the tracking crap ripped out. Then I run uBlock Origin and Dissenter Shields, and it catches 99.99% of the crap that you can run into. Easy to customize per site, like turn off all scripting at certain sites. And virtually no ads ever, even on YouTube. Dissenter runs all the Chrome add-ons you may be used to. It's very stable now.

I just let Windows 10 built-in anti-virus handle the rest. I also run Linux on my laptop.

I have ESET AV + Malwarebytes. Both are paid. I visit questionable sites so I need to make sure I'm covered.
