Spencer's Winter Forecast...

As always, I'm making my Winter Prediction in August, when it's hotter than two hamsters farting in a sock...Hotter than a four-peckered Billy Goat...Hotter than a Billy Goat with a blow torch!

Anyway, soon it will be Fall and followed closely by Winter. In a few words about Winter, it's going to be freezing, frigid, and frosty for most of the Country. About two-thirds of the Country will experience another wild ride with frigid temperatures and hefty snowfalls.

People on the East Coast will endure the worst of the cold weather; areas East of the Rockies all the way to the Appalachians will experience a particularly brutal season. A Wintry mix" of rain, sleet, and snow is likely along the East Coast. Late January will bring the coldest temperatures of the year, predicted to affect millions of people across the Northern Plains into the Great Lakes. (Remember last year's polar vortex? Get ready for round two.)

However, the Western-third of the Country can expect a milder Winter with near-normal temperatures and precipitation.

And stop for the night, some fuel and Cracker Barrel in my state. Some will even venture into the Historic district, ride Segway tours down the middle of the street, or do "Slow Ride" pedal powered mobile bar and disco tours shouting at the top of their fool lungs, or tour in horse drawn carriages snarling traffic at all hours. The less adventurous will ride open "Trolley" buses and I will hear the amplified guide spouting platitudes while I am trying to have a quiet cocktail in one of the parks. My favorite restaurants will have one hour plus wait times and parking anywhere within 10 blocks of my destination will become impossible. Great times!

I sold the Formula since we're not able to spend the entire Winter down there like we used to.
No sense in having a 27' boat at the lake house which we only get to a few times during the Summer months either.

We will probably rent one from the property mgmt company there. Rental boats are always real POSs but they only rent to their customers and are a German outfit that takes excellent care of their gear. :cert:

I do miss running up to Doc Fords for dinner or to Sanibel for day swims with the dolphins.

Just a rental but you're welcome down anytime. All Feb is usually in the low to mid 80s and gorgeous. :cert:

We used to do Super Bowl parties as well but we aren't arriving until a week after this year.
